Unity are close to launching a new corparate expenses system onto the market.  The product has been 6 months in development and is currently installed in a leading mobile telecoms provider processing upto £30k worth of expenses a week.

The product is either installable on site or on dedictaed hosted infrastructure and so addresses the very real concerns of corporates about the security of "cloud" based solutions.

The obligatory "New Web-Site" news article.

After years of procrastination and general whinging and whining we've finally updated our web-site.  This time we decided to go with a whole new technical solution built in house using Ruby on Rails.  After years of using Drupal (which is great by the way) we decided, that seeing as IT development is what we do,  it would be better to actually develop the site as we want it rather than piece together all the various drupal modules from everyone else.

Well we did it, and it was fun (in places) and an eye-opener in others.  Rails is great for rapid, agile web development, but with all these technologies / frameworks there's a fairly steep learning curve.  However, once that's overcome (if it ever is!) the app just flies from the keyboard.  So I'll definitely be looking for further opportunities to use RoR.

As for more news, lets hope there's some soon, otherwise I might be 'enhancing' the site to remove the news section!
